And I saw a comment or two, on Youtube, that ridiculed how CALM he was after a TD????????? Summerall would simply say "Touchdown!" and not "TOOOOOOUCHDOOOOOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and then he'd shut the hell up so the viewer could take in the crowd and the aftermath on the field. Today's brain dead / need for CONSTANT "entertainment" fans just cannot handle that.
Look at EEEEEEEEEEEEEVRY sports show. It HAS to be several people SCREAMING at one time and trying to outwit the other.
I'm afraid the days of Summerall, Olsen/ Enberg and Keith Jackson are long gone. Buck and Aikman do give us some hope though.
