Beyond the obvious that they will spend the money to keep Ramsey long term..... and should......there are 2 players that the Rams need to pay attention to.
1 they have, 1 they don't.
They need to pay Littleton. I'm not going to say he is or will ever be a great player. But he is quite unique. He can cover like a Safety, rush like a DE or OLB, and tackle like a LB.
The other player is the Redskin's OG Scherff; they need to go after him if they don't sign anyone else but lower tier role players. Regardless of what they do at LT, they need a guy who can single handed blow holes open inside and a guy who can stone a pass rusher.
They can let a number of players walk if necessary including Weddle, Clay Matthews, Fowler, even GZ.
But Littleton reminds me of a younger Fletcher NOT in his style of play but in his importance and lack of recognition by the NFL sports world.
As for LT, I really think they can get another year out of Whit for probably in the $7 mil range. He's sure as heck not going to move his family to play for another team, and no team is going to offer a guy his age big bucks. It will have to be respectable, and something a guy with his money finds attractive. As rich as he is, $7 mil is nothing to sneeze at, but way below what he's been playing for.
Forget trading Cooks; no he's not worth that much money, but he's still a burner and a darn good WR.
The Rams FO can figure out how to clear some extra cap money between Donald and Goff.
