Most of those players have done well and Barron is on one of the league's best defenses.
One of the main issues those guys raise for me is "fit."
Rams switched from a G.Wms 4/3 to a WP 3/4, and so fit was a big problem.
Same thing will happen one day when WP retires and the Rams new D coordinator brings in a new system. Some guys won't fit the new system.
If anything it's a reminder how well the Rams drafted from 2012-2016, which allowed the McVay Rams to inherit a lot of talent and start fast. (Though Quinn of course was 2011 but you see my point.)
The other issue it raises is simple--you can't keep all your FAs.
And that problem continues. Chances are they won't be able to keep both Fowler and Littleton. Are we going to see posts in the future talking about how lucky they were to dump one of those guys? Or will it be a more realistic assessment that says you can only keep so many of your own FAs?
