for me to feel like this was a solid year.
Also to show they
know the offense to respond to last year's SB loss and how defenses have shut us down and discombobulated McVay's play calling.
To me?....The return of
the End Around was the key as the Rams appeared to have stopped doing that earlier all year until the last few games. It really helps hold the DEs and gives Goff 1 extra beat of time to get the pass off. Goff was decisive cuz the Rams were playing THEIR offense of the last 2yrs and are very good at it. Goff was comfortable and making quick smart decisions and checkdowns when he had to instead of wandering around sheepishly waiting for a deeper route to open up. Goff seemed very mature and knew what he wanted to do every play....and it showed.
TE Everett on one of those quick End-Arounds would be a scary site for a Safety. JoJo would excel at those EAs plays like Tavon woulda...as it was Woods & Reynolds did great but man...think of what a true speedster could do on those!
