I think I'd take the win, if nothing else than for all the loyal Rams gams who have paid to go to the game, but it would be mightily tempting.
The only time I might root for my team to lose is when there's no chance of making the playoffs and winning/losing has meaningful draft implications. And by "meaningful" I don't mean a higher/lower choice. I mean like when, back in the day, I was a Philadelphia 76ers hoops fan, they were terrible, and everyone thought Tim Duncan would come out after his junior year (to my everlasting chagrin, he didn't). Yeah, I wanted my awful team to lose to get a generational talent, which is exactly what he turned out to be - for the Spurs.
That's about it, tho, in re wanting my team to lose.
