The ones with big cap penalties will, unfortunately have to be kept of maybe traded for magic beans. Weddle - hoping they can release him and maybe offering him a coaching assistant job - not sure what cap penalty is for that. Fowler - I thought we should keep him, but now I'm thinking - no. Littleton - he should be paid and kept. He's youngish and very talented, last night notwithstanding. John Johnson - I feel like we should make an attempt to keep him. I think he was a plus for the secondary, unlike Weddle. He has the range and speed to play deep and let Rapp be more of a box safety / nickel lb.
Whitowrth - he's played well this year, but unless he wants to stay in the area and take a smaller 1 year deal - I imagine he'll retire or play one more year for the Bengals. I think he wants to go back there, but maybe not.
Brown - I don't really understand what his role on the team is. He doesn't get many touches, gets hurt a lot, and is maybe even slower than Gurley at this point. If they can't unshackle themselves from Gurley - they at least need to give Henderson his touches.
Josh Reynolds - not really worth much for a second contract. I think they could replace him with a developmental player without too much trouble.
GZ - must re-sign him no matter the cost. the league's kicking has fallen off a cliff. He hasn't been lights out this year, but he's been well above average and can play lights out at times.
