I don't know what more Troy Hill has to do. The guy has a done a good job. He tackles well, defends passes well, and grades well each game.
He got a big vote of confidence when the Rams let Peterson and Talib go. Snead said straight out that by no means was there any assurance that they'd get Ramsey. So they were willing to let Troy Hill be their #1 CB.
I think they're going to be strong next year at CB with a bunch of young guys. What I'm curious about is what they're going to do at Safety. With JJ back, what are they going to do with Christian, Weddle, Rapp, and JJ? All of them are good starters. Might be a trade for one of them in the offing if they can get enough.
I agree with all that.
And here's some more.
PFF LA Rams@PFF_Rams#LARams Troy Hill and Nickell Robey-Coleman have stepped up big over the last 5 games

LOS ANGELES RAMS: CB TROY HILL
One may think Jalen Ramsey is the best cornerback on the Rams, but really, the best performing corner on the roster has been Troy Hill, who is currently eighth in PFF grade at 79.9. Hill has been the secret superstar of the Los Angeles Rams, as he is locking down his opponent in coverage, allowing a catch rate of just 47.1% (sixth-lowest). Hill was given starting duties back in Week 6, and since that week, he is PFF’s highest-graded cornerback.
