So you tell me which game plan worked better? Had the Rams done this against the Steelers they might be 7-3 right now
Bears 15 Rams 6 -
Rams v Bears 2018Goff - 20 of 44 180 yards 0 TDs 4 Ints
Gurley 11 carries 28 yards
Rams 17 Bears 7 -
Rams v Bears 2019Goff 11 of 18 173 yards 1int
Gurley 25 carries 97 yards, 3 catches 36 yards
Its not about being pretty. The Bears game was one of the biggest win in the McVay era. It shows a coach that will do what he has to do to win, that recognized that his offense was limited, and knew that the Rams could win a low scoring game and not force the ball into the air unnecessarily against a team like the Bears
Yep. The bottom line is winning the game. If you have to change up what you normally do, you do it. You know, like Bellicheat. I can't stand the Patriots but you have to respect how Bellicheat tailors his game plan based on the conditions for that game.
I heard so many people complain about how boring that game was and it's true that there weren't many style points in the game. But I thought it was a beautiful game because McVay did what he had to do to win it.
