I would have found another way to phrase it.
He's NOT expressing it publically. He has not said a word on this in relation to the upcoming game.
That was a while back when he said one thing. When he was signed, months ago, he said all that in response to a direct question.
Since then all that happened is that several outlets have re-quoted that one statement.
