He was never a good pass blocker, but a very good run blocker especially when he had Gurley in top form. Rams ran a lot of play action passes which helped Havenstein due to pass rushers not teeing off on Goff. This year Havenstein is being asked to pass block out of the shotgun a lot more and he's not that guy.
