My brother and I are finally making our pilgrimage from NYC to see our Rams in the LA Coliseum! The excitement is palpable, definitely a Bucket List item.
So naturally, we're hoping for some help from the locals as we've both only been to the LA area only a couple of times each. Also wondering if there are any unique circumstances because it is a Monday night game. We're staying in Century City and renting a car. Having said that, we would greatly appreciate any help/advice/input on the following:
Tickets - we're currently looking in Section 109. Trying to keep the cost per ticket at $200 or below and be on the Rams side of the field. ANY advice about seats, sight lines, fan experience, etc. is greatly appreciated.
Tailgating/Parking/Pre-game experience - being from NYC, we're used to traffic, so we rented a car and just plan on driving to the game. How early would we need to arrive to assure parking in one of the Coliseum lots? Do fans tailgate in those lots? Any team organized gameday pregame tailgate activities? Any Herd members pregame tailgate, meet ups, mini-Herdfests? I'm sure all of this is somewhat unique because it's a Monday nighter.
Rams Gear - Any local shops you can recommend? Particularly, authentic jerseys. Are those sold at the stadium shops?
Golf - We arrive on Saturday morning and plan on playing Sunday and Monday morning. I have zero intelligence on this. Online research thus far has us choosing among Rustic Canyon, Angeles National and The Ike course at Industry Hills.
We arrive mid-morning Saturday and are renting Harleys to ride the coast for the day. Any restaurant/nightlife suggestions also welcome, although by the time Saturday night rolls around I'm sure we'll be pretty much spent with the riding and time difference, and I'm guessing Sunday nights are relatively quiet. Anyway. we're super excited to experience your city and our Rams! Thanks so much in advance for any input you can provide.
Here's to hoping we witness the turnaround point of a special season on Monday night!
GO RAMS!!
