Wow, the whipsaw of reactions is almost startling. We went from Goff is a bust, McVay is a fraud who's been exposed, Snead can't draft / build, O-line is a shambles for years to come to today's manic mood. The team grew up, we found the right side of our line, Goff stepped up and on and on.
I enjoyed, mostly last night's game. It was a bit tough to watch at times. Lack of 3rd down conversions, receivers playing lackluster for stretches, lots of punts. Luckily Chicago's offense is dysfunctional and our D is pretty good. I thought Goff was ok - the pick was a terrible throw. Didn't seem like he had many open guys to throw to but the passes to Kupp and Reynolds were things of beauty.
I didn't expect Mack to destroy us - as things that look like a horrible mismatch on paper - don't often turn out that way. That's why they play the games - as Berman used to say.
