Of course the Ram D can be expected to carry this team while the O tries to get it’s OL up to speed.
Heck, the ST could do better also, frankly.
In the past the O carried the D many times. Now it’s the D’s turn to pay back.
That’s how it works in the NFL.
About McVay’s focus on the run. It was a tremendous success. Without it the passing game would never have opened up. Besides, how else are you gonna protect and develop all those simultaneous youngsters on that OL? Not an exciting strategy, but a very effective one.
McVay adapted nicely and deserved that game ball. One day our O might return to elite status, but we’re not nearly there yet and won’t be until this OL has been patiently developed.
