EXACTLY...the playcalling....

will be what helps the OL out or not. McVay needs to help the young OL and keep things simple for them. Just play the basics and help the OL out with misdirection and plays that will take advantage of what the defense is giving you and NOT forcing his players to do something that they have not been able to be consistent with. I'd honestly, come out with 6 OL...flat out and run the ball...enough until I can set up short passes and convert 3rd downs and extend drives. Be patient and run the ball - like what Seattle does when they are having bad offensive days...they just fall back to running the ball all 3 downs until they force the defense to put more in the box and then they start passing. We need to do the same....McVay must stay patient and run the ball creatively....but easily 30x+ this game - even if it's 2-3yd gains. And then, convert 3rd and 4s...and start all over again for the next set of downs....all the way down the field.

Remember, when Martz took great offense to being called "not patient"...well, they were right - he wasn't...and I see that same thing with McVay. The Rams need to stay patient and realize that, "If you build it, they will come". Our passing game is based off the running game. Period. That's how that works.
The passing game will only work when the running game is a threat. The run needs to be nearly always a threat or our PA passes will not work.
