Truth be told there were plenty of fans -some here and many not posting here-who felt this would be a down year. The fact that the O line looked to be patch worked at best (and fading) and TG obviously hurt meant problems especially considering the well lubricated Niner organization who appeared to be concentrating on the trenches, etc. No way could JG run this team like it was before. Way too much for him to shoulder. That seem obvious-to some.
