anybody in the NFL can be shutdown if the defense makes it a priority.
RBs or WRS (if the defense wants to take a player away, they can do it.) Shoot even great runningbacks like Dickerson, Sanders, etc. would have days where they had no space to run as defenses loaded up. Great WRs get shutdown all the time. Look at Diggs yesterday. He didn't have a chance as KC just made up their mind, he wasn't going to get the ball.
but to think Kupp isn't a great player is having blinders on. You are right, Kupp had a career day with Cook out. Of course, the other team didn't get a chance to game plan for that though.
the key is that other players have to step up when they load up on one WR. The question isn't whether Kupp can do it. He has been a good one since he got into the NFL week after week and has been great the last 2 years on a 1400 yard pace. The question is really on
Reynolds and the other WRs can step up.
