Rams can free up considerable cap by cutting Talib.

The Rams don't have to trade Talib: they can cut him. He's already been paid his guaranteed money. So if the Rams need the equivalent of $8mil annual in cap reduction to sign someone, that is certainly an option.

Although since he's on IR they might have to negotiate an injury settlement.
