Keep in mind that Evans was active for ATL, and Demby was inactive.
Things are changing.
Bottom line here is that Blythe needs to be much better or he’s gonna lose his job sometime after the bye. Whether it be to Evans or Corbett.
And if VB is right and what we saw was just the effects of Blythe not being 100%?
....
I talked to Vinny last night about this. He read me the whole riot act about how Blythe was drafted by the Colts, and started a game for them, Rams picked him up, and he was active throughout 2017, and played well when he got starting job last year. So don’t throw Blythe away so easily, the ankle may be the reason. But I asked if he knew anything about Evans stepping up in practice. There have been rumors.
He asked McVay about Evans in today’s presser. McVay said Evans is making progress and Kromer is working behind the scenes with him.
So, stay tuned. It’s possible that changes are coming.
Thanks for that info
It may be this year, it may be next. But if Evans can step up, that's huge.
Assuming NB comes back okay from surgery, I think the Rams have themselves 2 left tackles in NB and Edwards. (And if that's true, then, massive kudos, because it's hard enough to find viable LOTs, let alone 2 with neither being a high pick.) Realistically that probably translates into either one left OT (NB?) and a left OG (Edwards),OR they can cut Hav and have a new LOT and a new ROT. And if they do THAT (ie. LOT/ROT), and if Evans steps up, all they will need is another OG.
