IMO it goes deeper then just plugging in players....

He can plug anyone in but if he continues to run an offense with the QB needing a 5 step drop it won't help anything in the short term.

IMO we need short term adjustments, they don't show physicality at the LOS across the line they just plain don't. They can't keep a clean pocket for the needs of a 5 step drop. So as I have said several times (many don't read or respond) they need to get into some 2 step pass plays...quick slants, quick outs...we have the WR's who can do those routes well, and the quicks to maybe get some YAC. Do the run game in quick hits up the center, use miss directions. When the short pass game works use play action.

Go no huddle to add to the adjustments in game. Just changing out player X for Y and run stuff that just isn't working is a total waste of time IMO....yes it is the line that is of issue, but instead of just changing guys out is not the help the line needs....they need to be in a system that right now needs to go fast to help them with their weakness...the weakness they have is they can't hold spot for a period of time...

By McVay calling for 5 step drops IMO he is telling the line they need to have a clean pocket for X time....they can't do it...at least at this time in their early pro careers they can't do it. Stop the 5 step drops for a while.

Add the fact that we would offer no tape on this type O it could also be of use for a few games anyway.
