Teams start rookie and 2nd year OL all the time. It has to be done because there is no other option. There is no pool out there of experienced vets who play well and are mysteriously available. I don't know what fairyland has all these mysteriously available veteran OL starters. But it ain't in OUR universe.
I think this whole "hadn't started" routine says more about your own jitters than it does about the real NFL.
Every single good OL in the league had to start for the first time sometime.
