You really don't see the difference in Gurley? He was a walking home run hitter the last 2 years and this year he only has like 1 run over 20 yards. And look at how he moves in the receiving game. He used to torch safeties and linebackers but now he can't seem to separate. Even when he gets to the second level, there's no next gear for him from what I can tell thus far. He's a capable back still but I think the home run hitting element may be gone.
Remember a healthy Gurley in 2016?
How'd he look vs stacked boxes and with a suspect o-line in front of him that year?
Not saying he's as healthy as 2017 Gurley, but I saw him in training camp this year and he looked like the fastest guy on the field.... the issues right now are mostly the 6 wide defenses that are designed to clog up the run lanes and an o-line that has only played four games together as a unit.... the media and fans think it's Gurley, it's not.
