I think in the first three games McVay could save Gurley and pay the long game and still win. I do not think the point totals were as important as we were still winning and preserving Gurley at the same time. Well, now that we lost I think it changes everything. McVay does not like losing. Also, if you are vulnerable you cannot afford to sacrifice some play now to save it for later. A recalibration of sorts will happen and I think we will see the difference.
I expect to see more TE and RB catches from the start of the game. I expect Gurley to get more involved earlier. I expect to see more blitzing on defense.
