Counters are dead....

and that's true in High School and Youth Football as well.. and it makes no sense to me.

Today coaches will SWEAR they run counters... but their idea of an actual counter and a real counter are so different that there is no comparison.

First of all you need two RB's.. doesn't matter what 'type' they are, like FB and TB, you need two. How often do you see that? Then you have to not just faintly mimic a handoff to a decoy back you have to actually SELL it. How often do you see that?

And speaking of that... play action... I've heard time and time again how 'great' the Ram's are at play action.. you can't tell if it's going to be a 'run'... by WHOM? It's so friggin' obvious to me that it will be a run or won't be that you'd have to be brain dead not to notice it...and BTW..that's NOT just the Rams..it's every team.
