When they hand the ball off heading one direction it is a sweep or an end around.
When the person running the sweep hands the ball off to someone running the opposite direction its a reverse.
It's only a double reverse when the ball changes direction one more time, going back in the original direction. And yes, the announcers on last night's game called it a double reverse and they should know better.
