So how do you do that? To me that's the million dollar question (literally). Maybe it will happen whenever the O line jells better and he has some space to run. OTOH I agree with others that he seems to have no snap, crackle, and pop to his running-for now anyway.
Couple things.... I think the biggest thing is the o-line missing Saffold and I think McVay has just simply shied away from running Gurley like we used to....
I don't know if he just doesn't trust him like he used to or he is just saving him for December??? I'm hoping it is the latter.
I think McVay right now is just trying to figure out this Patriot style defense that everyone seems to be trying to play against us....he will crack the code and he will crack it soon.
I think getting Blyth and Higbee back will be huge for the running game.
