Brown setting up Gurley strategy

We all know that Gurley has always done his best work in the fourth quarter after wearing down the defense.

Seems to me that prior to the wearing down, Gurley would not have the best YPC numbers. If Gurley is going to take a pounding to get 1 or 2 yards, it makes sense to let a younger, fresher, less pricey RB do that dirty work. Once Brown does his job wearing down the D, Gurley can come in and be himself but without the prep wear and tear.

Seems similar to the strategy of having Whit not practice as much for example.
