Until that last 1st down I had no sense of 'comfort' whatsoever.... but when they got it I first breathed a sigh of relief... and then I rejoiced.
Opening Game - Victory. FANTASTIC...
Now this next I'm throwing out there for opinions.... not to start a big fight. Gurley... I know the knee was/could still be, and issue... BUT.. Is it that or is it possible it's McVay's use of him that's the 'big' difference. Gurley looked good at the end of that game... fighting hard, showing good speed.
I'm not qualified to diagram the Ram's running game blocking strategy but for most of that game it looked BAD to me. And it looked to me like running plays were more designed to bulldoze yds rather than create lanes, or daylight. If so... that's not how you use Gurley.. IMO. Thoughts? - JamesJM
