Those moves by Gruden were arrogant and just plain dumb.
Mack is perhaps the premier pass rush OLB in the game today. A game changer. And young. And not a problem.
Cooper is a terrific #1 WR. And young. And not a problem. Guys like him don't grow on trees.
So what do they Raiders do? They trade away a future HOFer for a couple of 1st round picks that may or may not ever pan out, and send Cooper away and pick up one of the biggest headaches in the League in AB. Perfect.
What do you suppose those moves told the rest of the Raider players? That even if they became the best at their position that the team values them and will do what it takes to keep them? Nope. It means that the Raiders don't give a crap about their guys. They're just meat.
Chucky strikes again.
