He won’t see the field this year, barring injury to the 2 QB’s ahead of him. Gulp.

However...

I see his potential value in ‘20 and beyond as the #2 QB. McVay will develop JW to be all that he can be. And frankly, JW’s ceiling might be pretty darned high.

So high that he might fetch a high draft pick in trade in a couple of years. A Garoppolo type 2nd rounder, maybe?
