Re: lack of situational live snaps

simply can't fault the head coach for avoiding injury

he's got a team that is firing on all cylinders......in theory

watching 3 sequences on offense, and one on defense where I would have liked to have seen some 1st teamers out there vs the Broncos.

Inside the 10, and trying to punch it in. Nearly get the RB for a loss of 5, and appeared to me on the quick that the ball almost came out. Right there, on situational goal line scenarios it would be nice to have seen our starting guards, and center go out there and get some reps. Can't, just can't replicate that experience in practice. Crowd, and tense situations. Going for it on fourth down? Love it. Great down and distance situation. Can't get the same feel, imo, in practice at Cal Lutheran.

Also, when they didn't get the ball in on the 4th down attempt: It left the rock at their 1 foot line. Mundt dang near got the rock over the pylon, too. Fun watching just how close that was in the stadium on the jumbotron. Was the foot still in? Did he reach over in time? Close, very close. However, with our first team defense at the goal line against the visiting team? One could almost sense a safety being scored. Again, can't recreate that so well in practice, and one has to wonder if the first team will be " up to snuff" come Sept 15th.
