I WILL take it all in. I mean more than the game. And that says a lot because I am obsessed with the Saints game this year! Though I had been a fan for just a few seasons before they moved to Anaheim, I have several memories of that stadium, as I watched on TV, as a young kid.....The Mud Bowl was when I KNEW I was really a fan. First game I recall feeling real pain after a loss. I remember the 10 to 7 win over Pittsburgh and 27 to 14 win over Dallas in 1978. NFC Title in 1978.....I still recall watching, IMPATIENTLY, the Oilers / Steelers game in Pitt, as that played on water and ICE. I was SO excited we had Dallas IN LOS ANGELES.....and then.... sigh. 1979...I recall CBS joining the Vikes game in progress, a few plays before Cromwell took the fake FG in for the OT winner. Though a new comer, I thought the Rams lost something by going to Anaheim (Though I was impressed during that 1980 MNF game vs Dallas) It just was not the same. The several decades since, I have seen that stadium for USC games and even the 1984 Olympics but always thought back to the Rams. LOVED the 1988 win vs the Raiders there!!! Aside from the Rams, I know MANY legendary players, coaches and athletes have walked in and out of that tunnel. A big reason why my seats will be 3 rows above it! I can't wait!
