Looks like some of the media are still trying to save face.
Fwiw I never bought that argument.
When Goff plays well in the final game of the year, people will acknowledge it. IMO that will be the general tendency.
Writers are well aware that they do not face this huge scrutiny from millions, requiring them to "save face," when it comes to Jared Goff.
They're aware that it would just be some Rams fans whining and that's about it. No one else notices or cares. They're all too busy worrying about what the press is saying about THEIR quarterback.
So it's easy enough for them to just call em as they see em and not worrry about anything else. And when Goff turns the corner in the national eye, people will just say "hey look he improved." Shrug. No problem.
That may not happen soon enough for us Rams fans, but if we're patient it will.
