My thought is that he is viewed as a cover type safety. Close to the line, responsible for a spot zone. Can be blitzed, affect the screen game. Though that sounds like Weddles game to me as well. Maybe Christian is the deep free....idk.
linebackers cover, too. btu many teams play 3-4 safeties....with 1 as a linebacker, really. anyway. he was fun to watch
