Re: Hmm 7th seems low for the slot

July 04, 2019 06:03AM
With the other weapons the Rams have and the way McVay is able to get him on LBs and other mismatches I would rank him 3 at the lowest as a slot where he makes his living obviously. There are other slot WRs like Edlemen who thrive there and obviously don’t have a Woods or Cooks playing on the outside drawing away coverage. So I can understand ranking a few others ahead of him.

The Rams have the best collection of WRs in football but none of them would rank in the top 10 or 12. Certainly on the team Cooks and Woods can do more and are asked to do more than Kupp. Not even sure if Kupp can make his living playing outside and being a 1 or 2 for that matter

The only way we find out is if Woods and or Cooks get hurt. If one of them gets hurt Kupp likely stays in the slot. If they both get hurt that forces Kupp outside.

I like Reynolds upside a lot too and I love what I saw from Korderel Hodge (who appears to be a Reynolds clone physically) put on film last summer

This team has some serious WR talent even in development
