More than we would get if/when he leaves in free agency.
We're dealing from a position of strength, N.E. has need. Higbee is a starter, make them pay.
Only problem is we really don't have anyone to take his place, all our free agent TE's appear to need a year on the practice squad.
BTW, for the record, I really like Higbee and would prefer we find a way to keep him.
