Who v regular season Suh? You never heard of Gaines until about 8 weeks ago. Now he will be Bette than Suh? Lol
Before free agency you didn’t want Fowler and certainly didn’t “love” him last year. Now you love him. Ok
Matthews v Ebu - yeah and? Fingers crossed with Mathews. His experience is a nice add though
We have no idea about Kizer. None. We have nothing from last year to indicate that he will be an improvement over Little at MLB
JFM and Day again question marks. Nothing remotely certain about these mid to late round draft choices from 2018 who now will be forced into full time action
I specifically mentioned the Rams DL and LBs as being areas with serious questions. I didn’t say anything about the secondary because that is obviously an area that appears to be a strength. Even though I don’t trust Peters without Talib (and maybe not with him)
The Rams front 7 has major questions. Major and this defense doesn’t at all look like a top 3 to 5 defense.
The good thing about that is they likely won’t have to be if the offense continues to grow and McVay adds more complexity.

The Rams have major major major question marks at lb, and dl
Just a ton of unknowns. My fingers are crossed but how in the world you can make these declarations without knowing how the Rams are going to look up front is beyond me. But carry on 43. This is a yearly thing with you
I just hope you are right.
What? I’m just quoting AD here, Speed.
Where to start?
Gaines vs “regular season” Suh.
Fowler for a whole season and he’s been on an ascending trajectory since he arrived.
Matthews at Edge vs Ebu.
Kiser as a 2 down ILB vs injured Barron.
More experienced JFM, Joseph-Day, in DL rotation.
Peters now used properly by Wade.
Healthy Talib.
Weddle vs Joyner.
Healthy Brockers.
Rapp and Long to provide scheme flexibility and improved depth.
Each of the above seems like an upgrade to me. And last year’s season ending D was playing pretty darned well, as you know.
I think that we’re flirting with a top 3-5 D for this season.
Thus, my optimism.
