As I read the article, I really wanted them to dig one layer deeper and tell us how often jet sweep motion was used.
That’s the biggest change I noticed from the 2017 Rams offense to the 2018 version. I felt they ran jet sweeps quite a bit in 2017 and obviously stepped that up some last year. If I had to guess, I’d say it felt like a 25% increase.
But my perception is that they faked jet sweeps in 2018 a whole lot more. Like two or three times as often. It honestly felt like every play. I’d like to know the numbers on that.
