Another tool in the wheelhouse for McVay. Remember the Gurley 50+ yard catch and run against Dallas 2 years ago? I see DH filling that role, as well as slot insurance for Kupp. I do hope that he can run routes well as a rookie, then again, he will have a limited route tree. DH averaged over 6 yards
after contact which is astounding.
How about 4 WRs with Kupp and DH in the slot, on either side of the ball. Talk about finding a mismatch - defenses will have to choose their poison. McVay now has the means to come up with new plays that others have not seen before, that will be tougher to copy unless you have a Cooper Kupp and a Darrell Henderson. Can't wait to see the real thing when we play against Carolina in Sept.
