Over 64 games (not counting playoffs), that's just over 20 Special Teams snaps per game.
But according to this 2013 article (http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/64441086/nfl-statistical-analysis-average-nfl-game), there are an average of almost 25 possessions per game (just over 12 per team). So, given that every possession is going to have at least one special teams play (punt), and sometimes two (kickoff and PAT/FG)... suddenly that number looks pretty normal. In fact, he's probably missed a few snaps somewhere.
