I think McVay talked to Phillips during the weeks we played against the Saints and Chiefs. Phillips was probably telling McVay that these 2 offenses are tough to defend because they can do so many things well. They can pass, but they can also run. Defending the run is tough because they actually have 2 RB;s you need to worry about.
We all know McVay...........He put that little nugget in the back of his mind and decided he needed to go get a HR hitting RB.
IMHO....This Henderson kid looks the part. McVay can put the Rams in 2 back sets, but instead of a WR getting the ball on jet sweeps, they give the ball to a RB. Also, move the RB around in slot, ect.
Henderson is no joke. The kid can take it the distance. Plus, he's tough to bring down.
