when you break it down, there are less picks involved

Since the 101 and 162 picks went from Pats to Rams and back to Pats we can remove those picks from the three trades and we are left with this:

Rams gave: 45, 133, 167
Pats gave: 56, 97, 134, 243

So if you combine 133 and 134 it is almost a wash.

So we move down 11 spots from 45 to 56, then up 70 spots from 167 to 97 and get 243 added in.

When looking at it like this, it seems like we did well.
