So now that 2 days are in the books and day 3 is around the corner,lets look at Rams picks, needs and possible fits:
Picks:
Round 4 - Zero
Round 5 - (24) 162
Round 5 - (29) 167
Round 5 - (31) 169
Round 6 - zero
Round 7 - (37) 251
So not much to work with but lucky they have covered a ton of bases.
Needs before the draft:
a. IDL - they just do not have the bodies yet to start the season.
b. IOL - Blythe, Noteboom and Allen starting is OK, but I would love a bluechipper to come in and compete.
c. Edge - I still think after the Matthews and Fowler short term signings that a developmental edge or 2 is needed.
d. CB - they have nothing behind their top 3 and nothing as far as long term CBs on the outside.e. S - not much behind the 2 startersf. TE - its feast or famine time for Everett.
g. - OT - Whitworth is almost done, depth is needed.h. - RB - if Gurley...So obviously I know squat. But to be fair, RB was more and more obious as the draft approached. I have no idea what that means for Gurley, but arthritis is a son of a gun man. I hope he can hang on.
I also thin the Rams are obviously high on Noteboom and Allen. Or have a plan for after the draft that will not effect the comp pick system.
DL is still very much in play. So is edge.
Day 3 is the wild, wild west. In reality, take who you want in day 3 when you can. Boards go out the window and BPA does not exist. its all about filling holes with prospects you love and like their upside.
So where are the Rams going?
I would be shocked if John Cominski isn't the pick in the 5th if he is available. I have him in the 7th round grade wise, but he just seem like a fit.
I would also be surprised if Malik Reed isn't in the picture somewhere.
I also think they get a IL or ILB somewhere.

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson - I have no idea what is going on, but it will come out. He still fits in the Rams secondary
Dru Samia - A fit as a OG in a OZS. Pair him with his college buddy Evans. I love Evans, did I mention that?
Cam Smith - Still thinks he works as a ILBer, great instincts

Mack Wilson - my 2nd highest rated player, and a rangey pass defending ILB from Alabama...
Amani Oruwariye - multi scheme fit, would have been my choice over Long easily. Did i mention I don't get paid for this?
Christian Miller - EDGE - Alabama - i would trade the rest of our picks for him TBH. So much upside...
Daylon Mack - IDL - Texas A&M - Heres your plugger with a little pocket push
Michael Jackson - CB - Miami - strong and physical press man
Justin Hollins - EDGE - Oregon - 6'-5" 248 lbs. - strengthen and groom him behind Fowler and The Claymaker
Kingsley Keke - IDL - Texas A&M - pass rushing IDL/ 34 DE
Isaiah Johnson - CB - Houston - 6'-2" and 4.4 yes please
Ross Pierschbacher - IOL - Alabama - last good OC, go get him
Dontavius Russell - IDL - Auburn - I said earlier he is Dex Lawrence-lite. Snead and the AU connection strike again
Austin Bryant - EDGE - Clemson - hand up hand down, he cleans up
Jordon Brown - CB - South Dakota State - ugh, SDSU, fine go get a nice sized press man CB
