Henderson is a complementary back.
So right now it looks to me like they will do what they said they would do, which is to give touches to other backs while managing Gurley.
Remember he had a knee issue in game 1 too (which had an effect on game 2 also). So it was not just December. Then he ran well for several games. That both looks like there's an underlying issue AND that (so far) it goes in and out of flaring up.
So it looks right now like they will do exactly what they said. Manage Gurley's touches. Henderson helps them do that.
