The last 2 playoff game performances.
A "report" that Gurley had arthritis, but to me, unconfirmed.
A TMZ video of him limping slightly when going to get in a car.
Gurley shooting a joint pain relief ad, with him running, at the Rose Bowl earlier this year.
Gurley conducting his youth football camp in N. Carolina in early April.
Begining of OTA's, but no video or photos of Gurley participating with other Ram players via Rams.com
The stuff I bolded is the only material that matters. The rest, to me, gets dragged into to discussion but I don't think it's relevant.
Here;s what we DO know.
He had a knee problem in game 1 and underperformed in game 2. He himself said the situation then was "bad." McVay confirmed it was similar to when they sat him in December. Those were McVay's exact words--"a similar situation."
And then they sat him in December with pain and inflammation, when he was out for 2 weeks.
Now what that those 2 things combined seem to indicate is that he has a condition that can flare up (including in game 1) and that points to the possibility of an underlying cause.
BUT so far it also gets better, or otherwise he would not have been able to run like he did after game 2 (until the December recurrence). Same with the playoffs.
So to me that means him being okay after resting in December, and doing well against Dallas etc, does NOT erase the possibility that something could be wrong. Whatever it is, at this point it can flare up, but it can also calm down. That happened twice in 2018.
So him being fine now doesn't necessarily tell us anything, just as one unconfirmed report of arthritis doesn't necessarily tell us anything.
