I think ultimately I agree with you but humor a devil’s advocate perspective for a moment.
If there is a plateau at 25-45, isn’t it possible then that Snead could be enticed to move into the 20-25 neighborhood to acquire a player that is a step up in quality?
Especially if as David Deacon noted above, given the conditions you describe, maybe the price to move up isn’t as high this year.
