their kind of player. Les has always preferred the "athlete" over the "try hard" guy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not, but I do not think that is what they look for. Les prefers guys that get knocked sometimes unfairly, and then they pick him up at a discount. Winovich sure is the Herd's kind of guy though, very popular here. I hope another team grabs him.

I think that was Les when he had to deal with Fisher. They went for the athlete and completely ignored hard work, intangibles, and football IQ. I think Les working with McVay is much leans more towards the later than you might realize--not that they are against taking shots on athletes who have slid.
