Totally agree. I dont understand the idea that starting him at LG in 2019 would somehow put him behind in getting prepared to replace the guy to his left a year later. And who knows, maybe they end up deciding he stays at LG longer term and they use a 2020 1st or 2nd round pick on a LT. You never know.

I believe you start your 5 best OL and he is obviously one of theirs. They deliberately had him play multiple positions last summer and this is partly why.

Plus I also agree he can be coached into the role and fits the system. He is an athletic kid that can move well, which the LG and LT in this offense clearly have to do. They get outside and downfield quite a bit.

I feel very comfortable with Noteboom at LG. Not that he is on par with Saffold right now. But he is a natural heir. Allen at C is the much bigger question mark in my mind at this point.
