Rams need depth big time

not only do they have, for the time being, very experienced starters in many positions, but they also have limited depth and the depth they do have has little to know experience

so Matthews is good for starting, subbing in reps or if a starter goes down, he can start.....Rams were very lucky to be so healthy the last few years
