Not hating on Fowler but he initially cost us Brown and now cost us Saffold and we still only have him for next year. If he doesn't ball out and resign he has a danger of receiving that "Drew Bennett level heat" from me. Though it wasn't Drew's fault I always blamed him, when I should have blamed the GM for giving him so much $$$, for Ike Bruce not spending his entire career in horns. That plus his lack of production puts him on my least favorite Rams list. Fowler won't be blamed by me as much because Ike is one of my absolute all time favorite Rams but Fowler has in essence cost us two starting OG's in a game where your line play is essential to maintaining your offense's level of production. I hope we don't look back at this like the Seahawks who lost a pro bowl level OC and their OL has only now started to recover for a trendy TE that never worked out up there and is playing somewhere else all the while the OC that was traded is a foundational piece of a top 5 NFL offense.
Sorry not buying that.... Fowler signed a one year deal for $12M (with chance to make $14M)
Saffold is looking at a 4/$44M deal right now.
The two deals have nothing to do with each other
Fowler was a big part of this defense and a big reason we made it to the Super Bowl
I'm just shocked they got him to take a one year deal...he could have got much more had he hit the market
