Re: Picks 21-32

trades here make for interesting chats
Fant helped himself plenty at the combine? And we heard strong comments about Bryon Murphy CB. too after his work?

21. New England Patriots (from SEA)* | T.J. Hockensen | TE | Iowa
Rob Gronkowski’s future is likely to be a question mark every offseason from here on out, so expect the Pats to plan for the future sooner than later. With multiple picks in each round on Day 2, New England sends a second-round pick and third-round pick to the Seahawks to move up and land Gronk’s understudy.

22. Baltimore Ravens | Hakeem Butler | WR | Iowa State
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have a strong ground game, but if they want to balance the offense and help Jackson reach his full potential as a passer, they need to find a true No. 1 receiver. With his rare combination of size, speed and athleticism, Butler would be a fantastic fit.

23. Houston Texans | Byron Murphy | CB | Washington
This pick should be a value battle between corner and offensive tackle, and in this scenario, the former wins out. Murphy may not have rare size or speed, but he’s a polished technician with fantastic instincts, intelligence and ball skills.

24. Oakland Raiders (from DAL) | Mack Wilson | LB | Alabama
After filling their biggest needs on both sides of the ball with their first two first-rounders, the Raiders use their final Day 1 pick to fill another gaping hole in the roster. Wilson is still a raw prospect, but he’s got all the physical and mental tools to quickly develop into a difference-maker at the heart of Oakland’s defense.

25. Philadelphia Eagles | Deandre Baker | CB | Georgia
While a dynamic running back like Josh Jacobs would be tempting here, the Eagles have far more pressing needs on both sides of the ball, and this year’s running back class is extremely deep. Baker is a battle-tested ball-hawk who would instantly bolster depth where it’s desperately needed.

26. Indianapolis Colts | Jerry Tillery | DL | Notre Dame
General manager Chris Ballard is building one of the best young teams in the league, but there are still a few glaring holes to fill. One of them is along the interior of the defensive line, where the Colts could use a versatile, disruptive force like Tillery, who can line up in multiple spots.

27. Oakland Raiders (from CHI) | N’Keal Harry | WR | Arizona State
Jon Gruden traded away Amari Cooper for a first-round pick, so spending one on his replacement would make plenty of sense. The Raiders don’t have a receiver currently on the roster who can boast Harry’s big frame, complete skill set and impressive after-the-catch ability.

28. Los Angeles Chargers | Andre Dillard | OT | Washington State
Philip Rivers can’t have too many seasons left, and the Bolts need to do everything they can to maximize what time he can still give them. That starts with improving the tackle situation, and Dillard has the size, length and athleticism to be an elite pass-protector at the next level.

29. Kansas City Chiefs | Nasir Adderley | S | Delaware
Pass defense held this team back in a big way last year, so addressing both corner and safety is a must for the Chiefs in this draft. In this scenario, they land a versatile playmaker in Adderley, who has NFL bloodlines and experience all over the secondary.

30. Green Bay Packers (from NO) | Noah Fant | TE | Iowa
After filling one of their biggest needs on defense earlier in the first round, the Packers use their additional selection to get Aaron Rodgers a dynamic weapon. Fant has the size and athleticism to create serious matchup problems for opposing defenses, making him the perfect successor to Jimmy Graham.

31. Los Angeles Rams | Dexter Lawrence | DL | Clemson
Free agency could have a huge impact on the NFC champs’ defense, as they could be looking to replace key starters at defensive tackle and safety. In this situation, general manager Les Snead opts to find the successor to Ndamukong Suh, landing the massive but explosive Lawrence to lock down the middle of the defensive line.

32. Seattle Seahawks (from NE)* | Deionte Thompson | S | Alabama
After moving back and adding multiple Day 2 selections to help ease the loss of their original second-round pick, the Seahawks still land a dynamic playmaker to replace Earl Thomas. Thompson still needs some refinement, but all the physical tools are there.
